Artsea

As the United States tries to keep up with the education level that many other countries are at, art classes are being reduced and done away with altogether, in an effort to focus on science, technology, engineering, and math. This, however, is a move in the wrong direction, as art helps develop creative problem solving, a major component in many careers. Artsea is an app that intends to close this gap.

Taking place underwater, Artsea teaches kids about numerous sea creatures: their characteristics, where they live, things they do. Each character has its own game that subtly teaches an art principle, to begin the development of creative problem solving. The games also teach other lessons, such as diversity, helping others, being yourself, and promotes the protection of the ocean.
